I thought to myself, "Ya know, for a sister to have taken a picture, by herself, that long ago, with her hat cocked just so, she had to have been quite sassy!" I'd love to think about myself have had that much sass had I been around back then. Anyway, I have much admiration for who I imagine this sister to have been way back in time and the type of injustices she lived through. Despite it all, nothing took the smirk off of her face, which I love and can relate to immensely.
